King Marco came together in Curitiba — Brazil's european-flavored southern capital — when a Red Hot Chili Peppers cover project outgrew itself. The musicians ended up backing frontman Gabs Marco on his solo material, taking the songs across stages and cities while writing new ones along the way.

The Gabs Marco solo project still runs in parallel. But somewhere after a show in Florianópolis, something else became impossible to ignore — the chemistry, the direction the new material was taking, the way everyone was showing up for it. This had become its own thing.
